2022 – 2023 Concerts & Fundraisers Schedule
The Symphony presented a FREE Patriotic music concert on the 4th of July, 2022 at the Paradise Junior High Gymnasium on Recreation Drive, next to Aquatic Park. This was an excellent time to enjoy some inspirational music and have a family event at the Park as well. We also held our major annual Summer Fundraiser, “Music Under the Stars”, on August 21, 2022 at 5 pm at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall on the corner of Skyway and Elliot. Our next regular Concert was a collaboration with the California Regional Theatre entitled “The Best Of Broadway”, on October 22 and 23, 2022. This was our first ever two day event and presented Beloved Songs from your favorite Broadway Shows. Our Winter Concert was held in collaboration with Paradise Community Chorus on Dec. 3 and Dec.4 at the PPAC. On Saturday night, the PPAC was only half full due to the windy and wet weather, but Sunday’s concert played to a packed house, and a delightful time was had by all who came to this beautiful concert. Watch this website for details of upcoming Fundraisers and Concerts.
The first Fundraiser for the 2022-2023 season, “Music Under the Stars”, was held on August 21, 2022 at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall on the corner of Skyway and Elliott in Paradise, and was highly successful, raising some much needed funding for the upcoming season. This event featured a delicious hot served meal, prepared by The Italian Guy Catering, both Live and Silent Auctions with approximately 60 donated items, and one of the more unusual concerts performed by groups from the Paradise Symphony Orchestra. There were three interesting ensembles derived from the Orchestra including a Trombone quartet, a Woodwind quartet, a String quartet, and a Virtuoso Guitarist, Chris Wenger Duet, accompanied by Pianist, John Seid. We have begun our planning for the Winter Fundraiser, “From the Symphony With Love”, which is scheduled to be held on February 19, 2023, at 5 pm, Paradise Veteran’s Hall, 6550 Skyway, in Paradise. Tickets which will include dinner will be available about 30 to 45 days in advance of the event. Tickets without dinner are also available on line or at the door.
Our SUNDAY Concert starting time has changed to 3:00 pm for all in-person PSO only concerts at the Paradise Performing Arts Center. We ask that all attendees be seated by 2:45 pm, to enable our ushers time to ensure that our concert begins on time. Masks and Social distancing requirements may be required and if so, will be enforced for individuals and/or family groups if COVID-19 restrictions are reinstated. Groups will be seated when all group members are present. Our two day Collaborative concerts with the California Regional Theatre and the Paradise Community Chorus in October and December, respectively, will begin at 7 pm on Saturday and at 2 pm on Sunday.
We have planned a full Concert and Fundraiser Schedule for the 2022-2023 Season. The first Concert of this Season was a FREE Concert at 3 PM, on July 4, 2022 at the Paradise Junior High School Gymnasium. We are working on themes and programs for all of the new season’s future concerts, and will be posting them on this website as the concerts draw closer. Tickets will be sold on-line on this website, or at the door the day of the concert. Please keep checking this website for more information and the opportunity to purchase tickets for all the remaining PSO Concerts (Oct. 22,23: Dec. 3/4; Mar. 12; April 30). Tickets will be available online approximately 30 days prior to each event on the Get Tickets Page. Present your email receipt at Will Call for tickets purchased online. The October Event will be a collaborative event with the Chico Regional Theatre, and the December 3/4, 2022 Concert will be a collaborative event with the Paradise Community Chorus and the Oroville Community Chorus. Other local artistical organizations will also be invited to join the event. With the first two concerts this year being collaborative concerts which require special pricing, there are only two PSO Only concerts this concert year and NO Season Tickets will be offered.

The Beauty of Winds
April 30, 2023 – 3:00 pm
April 30, 2023 features “The Beauty of Winds”. One of the highlights of each year is the presentation of the winners of our Young Artists Competition. These amazing young people are truly exciting as they play music of their choice with the orchestra. The woodwinds will be represented by wind ensembles playing the music of Ravel and Debussy. The entire orchestra delights with Amy Beech’s “Bal Masque.”
