03 Jan Camp Fire Update
We are pleased to inform you that the Paradise Symphony Orchestra is alive and well, following the devastating Camp Fire that destroyed much of the town of Paradise. Our hearts and prayers are with those who lost loved ones in this tragic event. Many of our musicians lived in the affected communities, and were able to evacuate safely and took with them their valued instruments, though we do know of some musicians who have lost instruments, music, music stands, etc., that are part of their ability to continue to perform and entertain us with their musical abilities. Under the leadership of native Paradisian Dawn Harms, a fund has been established with the Paradise Symphony Society to support the needs of these musicians as they work to rebuild their lives and to support the ongoing efforts to ensure cultural arts is alive and well on the Paradise Ridge. Please consider making a contribution to Together for Paradise through our website.
The Paradise Symphony Orchestra is preparing to perform with the Northern California Ballet in their current production of “The Nutcracker” which will be performed January 18-20, 2019. The location is to be determined, so watch for more details about this important weekend of performances. You won’t want to miss out on “The Nutcracker” with live music by the PSO.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the Paradise Symphony Orchestra. We are continuing to focus on making music for our community, and we appreciate your contributions and your attendance. Our calendar of events may change, based upon availability of venues, musicians, and other resources, so check our website regularly.
